Reservation

How do I book a stay at Souki?

The easiest way is to book directly on our site, where you always benefit from the best available rate.

For a special request, a celebration or simply a few questions before choosing, you can also call or write to us. It's always Gilles Or Fabien who answers you.

Why book direct rather than through Booking.com?

By booking directly with us, you benefit from the best available rate and a personal discussion before your arrival.

It's also the easiest way to add dinner, a massage, a Janzu or any other experience during your stay.

What is the minimum stay?

One night is possible most of the year, depending on availability. A two-night minimum applies on Saturdays, the eve of public holidays and public holidays.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. Depending on the rate chosen, a deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking. The amount appears clearly before validation.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, depending on the conditions of the selected rate. The terms of modification and cancellation are specified before any validation of your reservation.

I have a gift voucher — how do I book with it?

Email us at contact@souki-lodges.com with the voucher number, your first and last name, telephone number and preferred stay date. The stay must take place within the validity period printed on the voucher and remains subject to availability.

We will confirm the booking by return email. Once confirmed, the booking is final, non-cancellable and non-amendable.

How much does a night at Souki cost?

Stays start at €840 per night for two, breakfast included. Every booking gives you your lodge, its terrace and its pool heated to 32 °C entirely to yourselves.

Rates vary with the season, the dates and the length of your stay. Booking directly with us always gets you the best available rate.

The lodges

How many lodges are there at Souki?

Two. And it is voluntary.

We have chosen to welcome no more than four travelers across the whole estate. This lets us preserve the silence, the privacy and the time we personally devote to each stay. This choice establishes the house.

What is the difference between Les Nuages and L’Arbre Perché?

Both lodges offer the same level of comfort and the same services. Their location and atmosphere set them apart.

Les Nuages opens widely onto the hills and offers the most unobstructed view. More withdrawn, L’Arbre Perché blends into the oaks and offers a more enveloping atmosphere.

Are the pools really private?

Yes. Each lodge has its own pool, heated to 32 °C all year round and open day and night. It is reserved exclusively for the two people staying in the lodge and is never shared with other travelers.

The pool is nearly seven metres long, with counter-current swimming, an air-bubble bench, hydromassage jets and massage fountains. There is no separate jacuzzi: its relaxation and hydromassage functions are built directly into your pool.

Is the pool heated all year round?

Yes. The water is kept at around 32°C all year round so you can swim in any season, day or night.

Can we swim at night?

Yes. Your private pool remains accessible at night. Many travelers tell us that swimming alone in 32°C water, under the stars, is one of their favorite memories.

Do the lodges have Wi-Fi?

Yes. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available in each lodge. You are free to use it, or forget it for a few days.

Is there a television?

No. There is no television in either lodge. High-speed fibre Wi-Fi, an iPad with the room directory and music app, and a Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker are provided instead.

Is there a kitchen in the lodge?

No. The lodges have no kitchen, hob or refrigerator available for guests.

The tea and coffee station includes a bean-to-cup coffee machine, a kettle and a selection of teas and infusions. The minibar and wine cellar are reserved for our selection of drinks.

Breakfast and dinner can be served directly in your lodge.

Is Souki an unusual place to stay?

The word does not quite fit us. Souki is not a cabin, a bubble or a yurt, but a private estate of two architect-designed lodges, each built for two people and each with its own pool heated to 32 °C.

What is rare here has less to do with the unusual than with space, silence and privacy.

How many people can one lodge take?

Each lodge takes one or two people. It has a king-size bed, 180 × 200 cm, and no extra bed can be added. Souki therefore welcomes four travelers at most across the whole estate.

Are the lodges accessible to guests with reduced mobility?

No. The lay of the land and the architecture of the lodges do not allow suitable access for people with reduced mobility. We prefer to tell you plainly before you book.

If you have any doubt about your own needs or about moving around the estate, call us and we will tell you exactly what to expect.

Come to Souki

How do we get there by train?

The stations of Montpellier Saint-Roch, Montpellier South of France and Béziers provide easy access Souki.

If you wish to travel without a car, we can organize a private transfer to the estate. Just tell us about it before you arrive.

How do we get there by plane?

The airports of Montpellier and Béziers–Cap d’Agde are the closest: around an hour’s drive for the first, three-quarters of an hour for the second.

We will be happy to advise you on the simplest solution to reach the lodges.

Is there parking on the estate?

Yes, free private parking on the estate. You park on arrival and you will not need your car again until you leave.

Can I charge an electric car on the estate?

We do not have an electric vehicle charging point on the estate. If you are travelling by electric car, let us know before you arrive and we will point you to the charging options nearby.

The stay

What time can we arrive?

We welcome you personally from 4 p.m. We take the time to show you around your lodge and answer your first questions.

Can we check ourselves in?

No. And it's a choice.

We believe that a stay begins with a meeting. We prefer to open the door and show you the place rather than sending you a simple access code.

What time do we need to leave?

Departure is before 11 a.m. This allows us to carefully prepare the lodge for subsequent travelers.

Is Souki suited to a stay as a couple?

Souki was designed for one or two people looking to be together somewhere quiet and entirely private. Each lodge has its own heated pool, its own terrace and its own living spaces, with no shared areas at all with the travelers in the other lodge.

A birthday, a marriage proposal, a honeymoon or simply the wish to disappear for a few days: we can help you shape a stay that suits you.

Meals

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Breakfast is included in every stay.

Every morning at 9 am we leave a large wooden chest outside your tea pantry, holding the breakfast we have composed for you. You can then enjoy it at your own pace, on the terrace, by the pool, inside your lodge or in bed.

Who cooks dinner?

Gilles and Fabien compose and cook the dinners served in the lodges themselves. We work throughout the seasons, with our vegetable garden and local producers. Dinner must be booked at least 72 hours in advance.

Do we know the menu in advance?

No. We prefer to keep the surprise and cook according to the season and the products available.

The Menu Balade is a single menu, the same for all our guests. It cannot be adapted to allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements. If this concerns you, please tell us before booking.

Can we bring our own drinks?

Each lodge has a wine cellar and minibar offering a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks: water, beers, red, white and rosé wines, champagnes and other sparkling wines.

Any bottle brought in from outside, whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic, is subject to a €40 corkage fee per bottle.

Well-being

Do the massages take place in the lodge?

Yes, always. The practitioner sets up her table directly in your lodge or on your terrace. You have no wellness area to return to or any journey to repeat when the treatment ends.

What is Janzu?

Janzu is an aquatic relaxation experience carried out in your private pool heated to 32°C.

Carried by the water and guided by the slow movements of Cécile, the body gradually relaxes while breathing and thoughts slow down. This is one of the signature experiences of Souki.

Do you have a spa?

No. We made a different choice.

Rather than a shared spa, massages, Janzu, yoga and coaching come directly to your lodge. You live each experience in private, without travel and without common space.

The dogs

Are dogs welcome?

One small dog weighing under 12 kg may be accommodated per lodge, by prior request only. A daily fee of €45 applies, and guests must agree to the dedicated pet policy.

Who is Aïko?

Aïko is our Shiba Inu. He lives on the estate, often welcomes travelers with curiosity and has naturally established himself as the mascot of Souki.

Around Souki

Can we visit Lake Salagou during our stay?

Yes. The lake of Salagou is about fifteen minutes from the lodges. We can advise you on the most beautiful places to walk, swim, paddle or watch the sunset.

Can we hike straight from Souki?

Yes. Several trails start near the area and allow you to reach the Pic de Vissou. From the summit, the view opens onto the vineyards, the reliefs of the Hérault and, on clear days, as far as the Mediterranean.

Is Souki well placed for exploring the area?

Yes. Souki is in Cabrières, less than ten minutes from the Cirque de Mourèze and about fifteen minutes from Lake Salagou. The Pic de Vissou and the Cabrières vineyards surround the estate.

You can take in the great landscapes of the Cœur d’Hérault and come back in the evening to the privacy of your lodge and your pool.

One last question…

Why do travelers come back to Souki?

We could tell you about the pool at 32°C, the massages, the Janzu or dinners served at the lodge.

But when asked, the answer is often simpler. They come back to find calm, time slowing down and this feeling that, for a few days, the world can wait.
